The film ‘Adipurush’ released in theaters on 16 June. Controversy has been going on since the release of this movie. A petition was even filed in the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court, on which the court heard and reprimanded the makers. The Court also criticized the tampering with the facts of religious texts.
Advocate Kuldeep Tiwari had filed the petition in the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court. On Monday, June 26, the court heard this and reprimanded the filmmakers, reported navbharattimes.
The Division Bench of Justice Rajesh Chauhan and Justice Sriprakash Singh heard the petition. He has reprimanded the makers as well as the censor board for the objectionable film Adipurush.
According to the report of ‘Aaj Tak’, Senior Advocate Ranjana Agnihotri presented some facts related to the film in the court which were objectionable. The court asked the lawyer Ashwini Kumar, who was present on behalf of the Censor Board, what does the Censor Board do? What are you trying to teach to the coming generation from this film? Is the board unable to understand its responsibilities?
As per reports, the court has asked to spare the religious scriptures Ramayana, Quran, Guru Granth Sahib and Gita. Along with this, the court expressed its displeasure even after the film producer, director and other concerned persons were not present in the court. At the same time, Ranjana Agnihotri also objected to the censor board not filing any reply yet.
