JOB PROFILE: REGISTRAR, THE NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ADVANCED LEGAL STUDIES (NUALS)

The National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi, invites applications from eligible and well experienced persons for the post of REGISTRAR of the University:

1. METHOD OF RECRUITMENT
By Direct Recruitment or on Deputation Basis from a Foreign Service.

2. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
A) A Master’s Degree in Law with at least 55% of Marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.

B) At least 15 years’ experience as Assistant Professor in the Academic Level 11 and above or with 8 years of service in the Academic Level 12 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration.
OR
Comparable experience in research establishment and/ or other institutions of higher education.
OR
Fifteen years of Administrative experience of which 8 shall be as Deputy Registrar in a recognized University or an equivalent post.

SCALE OF PAY FOR THE POST
The scale of Pay will be at Academic Level 14 of the UGC Scale

AGE

The Upper Age limit for applying to the post shall be 48 Years as on the date of Notification with a relaxation of 5 Years and 3 Years in the upper age limit for candidates belonging to the SC/ST and OBC category, respectively. The post is notified as a TENURE post for a period of four years or till the incumbent attains 56 years, whichever is earlier.

REGISTRATION FEE
Rs.2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only) by way Demand Draft drawn in favour of ‘Registrar, NUALS’ and payable at Ernakulam (Candidates belonging to SC/ST Communities need to pay only Rs.1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) as Registration fees).
