About the Centre
Centre for Comparative Studies in Personal Laws, National Law University Delhi aims to impart legal education and to provide counselling, assistance and litigation support to all concerned, regarding matters relating to constitutional, personal and family laws. The activities of the Centre include the critical analysis of various laws, policies, programmes and judicial pronouncements on current issues and to liaise with institutions, governmental, public and private authorities for conducting research and undertaking of projects and to disseminate information about laws and legal avenues available to all.
Employment Opportunity for the following post: Research post of Research Associate will be funded out of the grants received under the Major Research Project Sponsored (2023-25) from the ICSSR, New Delhi.
Research Associate (Law):
National Law University, Delhi is seeking to engage, on contractual basis, one fulltime Research Associate (Law). The Research Associate is expected to engage in diverse research activities including collection and compilation of research material, field work, data collection, data analysis, report drafting, etc. He/she is expected to assist the principal investigator in conducting research on various themes/projects.
Who can Apply?
Candidates holding post-graduate degree in law (LL.M. with 55% marks minimum) having interest and experience in empirical and doctrinal research in interdisciplinary fields.
Candidate should be below the age of 40 years at the time of appointment.
Essential Qualifications
• possess a post-graduate degree in law with minimum 55% marks;
• demonstrate good field research skills and experience
• demonstrate good oral and written communication skills;
• ability to create quality content, worth publication; and
• good knowledge of MS office and online platforms
Job discerption
Doctrinal and Empirical research in Indian justice delivery system, comparative constitutional law, content creation, publication and other research assignments of the Centre
Duration
The position is for an initial period of 6 months, which can be extended to one year based onsatisfactory performance.
The contract may be further extended depending on the performance of the candidate.
Working Hours: 09 am–05 pm (Monday to Saturday) Full-time employment
Remuneration
Salary will be Rs. 20,000/- (Consolidated) per month.

• The position is contractual and should not be considered as a permanent appointment with the University in any way.
Termination of the employment:
Premature termination of the candidate, after serving one week notice, may be done in case of professional incompetency, misconducts, and failure to carry out the instructions of the Centre.
