Aryan Khan Drugs Case: Delhi High Court gives interim relief to Sameer Wankhede, Wankhede made shocking disclosure
The Delhi High Court on Wednesday gave a big relief to Sameer Wankhede, former zonal director of Mumbai Narcotics Bureau, in the Aryan Khan drugs case.
The Delhi High Court has stayed till May 22 any action against Wankhede in the controversy arising out of the Aryan drugs case.
In this case, the CBI had called Wankhede for questioning on May 18.
Wankhede had filed a petition in the Delhi High Court seeking relief in the matter.
Though the court has stayed any action against Wankhede till May 22, it has asked him to approach the Bombay High Court.
It may be noted that Wankhede had made a shocking disclosure before the court by filing a petition.
In the petition, a fragment of the conversation between senior officers of Wankhede and NCB has come to the fore. It is revealed in this case that senior NCB officials themselves wanted Aryan Khan to be kept in NCB custody for a longer time.
The CBI alleges that Wankhede demanded a bribe of Rs 25 crore from Aryan Khan’s family for allegedly not implicating him in the drugs case.
The CBI, while taking action against Wankhede, had raided several places and registered an FIR against him.
Significantly, on 3 October 2021, NCB arrested Aryan Khan. Aryan was in jail for 25 days. He was granted bail by the Bombay High Court on 28 October.
On 27 May 2022, NCB gave a clean chit to Aryan after not getting evidence against him.
